Hi and welcome to Temper Chocolates.

Let us introduce ourselves, we are Lauren & Tom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have been together since September 2015, after meeting in the same place of work. Both having the same passion for food, we have always talked about one day owning our own restaurant, or business. In June 2020 that became our reality.

 

Let us share our chocolate journey with you…

Early 2020 we both found ourselves stuck at home with the COVID-19 Pandemic causing a full country lockdown. 2 full time chefs who were used to pulling 60+ hour weeks, barely spending a day off with each other and falling completely out of love with our passion of cooking, suddenly stuck at home with absolutely no structure day by day.

 

Let’s just say it was truly like we had fallen into a rabbit hole and lost our way.

We always talked about the future, always talking about idea’s we had, restaurants we wanted, the styles we liked, the food we wanted to serve. During lockdown like so many we struggled. We just about kept our heads above water with the help from our family.

​

It sparked a conversation of ‘how can we make money’ – It was that simple. We constantly put ourselves down and didn’t believe that 2 people like us could come up with such a business, but here we are!

​

In June 2020 we launched our social media pages. Getting some of our locals ordering nearly every week. Showing us their support we decided to launch our website. Contacting local suppliers to help boost our sales it completely took off.

​

And here we are!
